LANY is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, with music that has been described as “minimalistic-alternative-dreamy electro-pop.” Hericane's title is a play on words, replacing hurricane with hericane and comparing the desctructive behaviors that the girl in the song exhibits to a natural disaster. "Caught in the midst of your insecure winds, breaking us down and wearing us thin." I wanted to illustrate this concept using imagery that felt as dream-like as LANY's musical sound, and in the end depicted a kaleidoscope-like painting of the girl in question, as if the viewer is trapped alongside the songwriter in this hericane.
