In 1950, only 45 miles from the center of Sin City, a 680-square-mile atomic testing ground was created by the United States Government. Local businesses capitalized on the nearby explosions by hosting viewing parties, and tourists partied until dawn in order to witness an atomic blast. The Cloud is a branding identity project based around the atomic tourism craze of Las Vegas in the 1950s. Using classic visual motifs of Las Vegas: gambling, diners, and vintage showgirl pinups, this project creates a unique dining experience for locals and tourists alike by showing them a lighthearted take on this unique piece of the city's history.
